LJG Rotterdam, together with LJG The Hague, makes use of the Jewish cemetery “Beth Hachaim”.  This cemetery is a separate section of the municipal cemetery on Eikelenburglaan in Rijswijk.  Beth Hachaim was founded in 1990 on the request of the members of both congregations. It is owned by the Beth Hachaim Foundation. 

What to do in the event of a death?

Address of Beth Hachaim cemetery :

Eikelenburg Cemetery, Eikelenburglaan 7, Rijswijk 

Opening hours : 

April 1-September 30 : daily from 9AM to 8PM

October 1-March 31 : daily from 9AM to 4:40PM.

It is not customary to visit the cemetery on the sabbath, Jewish holidays and after dusk.

 

Driving instructions : 

From Rotterdam : 

A13 towards Den Haag, take exit 7 Rijswijk/Den Haag Zuid

Follow “Den Haag Zuid” and you will come to the A4

Leave A4 at exit 11 Rijswijk/Delft

Turn right and follow signs towards Rijswijk

You are on Prinses Beatrixlaan, watch for signs “Eikelenburg”

After 870 meters, turn left onto Winston Churchilllaan

After 840 meters on roundabout take 3rd exit onto Mgr. Bekkerslaan

After 840 meters on roundabout take  1st exit on the right onto Eikelenburglaan.

 

From Amsterdam : 

In The Hague follow A4 towards “Den Haag Zuid/Hoek van Holland”

Leave A4 at exit 11 Rijswijk/Delft

Turn right and follow signs towards Rijswijk
